  MISSION
  
  St. Ann’s Parish desires to take a more active role in meeting the needs of its greater community by practicing the corporal works of mercy through various outreach programs, the first of which will be a food market operating as St. Helen’s Outreach/The Market on Tierra Blanca.
  
  VISION
  
  St. Ann’s primary purpose for outreach programs should serve as an opportunity to serve the hungry and those in need. Our Market will serve as a non-evangelizing ministry with no sectarian interest in serving the food insecure of our community. However, everyone entering our doors will undoubtedly know that we are a Christian organization as evidenced by our love, joy, and the way we share the hope of Christ with all we meet.
  
  PURPOSE
  
  The purpose of this organization shall be to alleviate food insecurity in our greater community.
  
  Confidentiality: the fact that our clients visit our pantry is theirs to share, not ours
  
  Let’s follow the Benedictine creed when working in our food pantry: Ora et Labora – prayer and work
  
  Let us not judge those who walk in our door seeking our services; that job is reserved for God alone.
  
  Treat our clients and fellow volunteers with dignity and respect. Remember to preach the Gospel always; use words if you must.
  
  Greet our clients with a smile, a warm welcome, and know them by name. Nothing dignifies a person more than calling them by name.
  
  Let’s err towards serving those in need; we’ll work out the administrative details later.
  
  We are here to serve; God will bless us abundantly if we do our job well, with love.
  
  Treat each person as if he/she were Jesus in disguise walking through our door.
